Sombre afternoon up there while preparations were being made. A massive loss to both clubs I’m told.
Definitely. He was a club legend and an officer of the South board for many years. Some man to fundraise locally. Rural clubs and communities are exceptional when it comes to organising funerals for their own fallen. The Bally pitch is down a boreen and there’s a right awkward junction when approaching from the northern side. Stewards everywhere, roped areas for access/egress and even a walk-through marquee if the weather turns bad.
