I’d love to see a list of how many positions Phelan has held now.

The quotes from Morrissey in the Leader say that he had no say in the decision making process over the past two years.

Oliver Mann admitted approving spending on the understanding that some sponsor had been secured, which fell through. They seem to be giving that as the reason for the deficit.

I suppose the hope is the Big House will pick up the tab .

I presume there’s no change in this? I heard no mention of it anywhere.

Heard no mention of it but I think the original proposal from that thing out in Kilmurry was that it would be from 2019 onwards.

Read the article there. Everyone trying to cover their own arse. Difficult to know who to believe.

Back Page Man* is going to get plenty of mileage out of this.

*no longer on the back page.

I believe that the Junior , U21 and Minor decision to move to all county will be taken at the January meeting of the county board

Limerick hurlers have a lot in common with Victoria’s Secrets models

:hushed:

No more lads arriving four to a car and all signing for mileage so?

All the Na P lads are a) near training and b) won’t be training until end March , which will help costs .

Na Piarsaigh carrying limerick hurling on its back.

An easy enough burden the last few years .

So with O’Connell back on the panel that is every outfield player from the 2’15 21’s on the panel and the vast majority of the 2’17 players including a ball of lads who couldn’t make the team. Must be over half the panel u-23?
While exposure to senior hurling could be beneficial for some, I’d be worried we are blocking opportunities for lads in their mid 20’s who should be scrapping for places, by throwing in lads into the panel that aren’t near ready yet with the obvious problems that follow for them of burnout without getting near the team.
I believe in the old “if you are good enough, you are old enough” and that’s fine for the likes of Kyle Hayes but the lads who couldn’t start 21’s last year now getting flogged to death by the seniors would surely be better off given another year or two away from it.
It’s very rare in Limerick that a lad makes a breakthrough in his mid twenties, so we have to be missing out on some decent players.

:joy:
