In 2015 , 2016 and 2017 Lk exited the championship to teams who looked poor enough . That said there is a bit more light at the end of this year .
A number of good young players have come in and did well enough . These are Casey x 2 , Finn , & Kyle Hayes who looks a real prospect. I
A number of other younger players have stalled a bit and these have to be worked on.
Those in the mid twenties had mixed fortunes , Hannon did well, Dowling iffy , Graeme Mulcahy struggled . Kevin Downes is needed I am still convinced .
The older boys again a mixed bag . Hickey solid enough , James Ryan losing a bit of legs , GOM and Condon nearly really got a run this year . Interesting to see what happens next year with these guys .
Overall I think Kiely did OK . I will judge him more strictly next year .
At this stage I am more optimistic than I was this time last year but that is a bit damning with faint praise .

I would be more hopeful if it looked like Kiely was trying to implement a particular style or pattern to Limericks play but it just hadnāt bedded in properly yet.
I didnāt see a whole pile different to our play this year, the touch hadnāt particularly improved and shooting was wayward.

Wouldnāt be optimistic at all. Weāve been there before.
I think it would stand to Limerick if a big game player like Conor Murray came in and gave them a bit of a chat about performing when the heat comes on and the game is in the mixer

Next year the main goal has to be promotion in the league, Weāre fooling ourselves saying that an 8th year in a row in 1B hasnt harmed us.
We simply wont improve without hurling against KK, Tipp and Cork in the spring.

I take your point to a degree but I expect to see clearer style of play next year . The recent competitive underage set ups are largely playing a game based or getting ball in quick and making things happen then .
It was not a good year by any stretch of the imagination .
A lot to concern me about next year too.
