Limerick GAA - knocked down, but will get up again

I heard Drom/Broadford were the better team and deserved to win.

Tough on Claughaun, though. Can’t remember them ever being down at Junior level. It also means that Claughaun and Old Christians will be playing against each other in the City championship next year.

They’d 37 names on the program last weekend

Another narrow defeat for Mungret in a semi-final/final today.

That makes 3 in a couple of weeks across minor hurling, minor football and minor hurling, two of them AET.

At least the u16s showed the Monaleen tramps how to play ball this morning.

I’d say that’s the entire total of adult players across both clubs.

Leo O Connor fell out with the management at half time.

What happened there?

No idea. He spent the second half above by the road end goals anyway

Its pretty amazing that they ever got together in the first place.

Is it defiantly the same players from Old Christians playing Junior A and Intermediate?

I think Claughan and Old Christians were allowed some sort of dispensation a couple of years ago to help hurling in the city

Drom mugged them off. Good and proper. West Limerick rules again

Intermediate will be interesting next year!

Like a mini West Junior A Hurling Championship, only not as Box Office, obviously.

I’m so so sickened. Fuck.

It wouldn’t happen if Spike was arranging the fixtures.

Lump on Dungarvan I suppose

I’m heading into town early enough and I’ll get a sea food chowder before the game. Looks a fine day for hurling. It would be nice to see the underdogs prevail on both sides but from a limerick point of you I hope a few lads stick their hands up for selection today. Nap obviously have a cluster of lads Dempsey, Downes, two Boylans and Ronan Lynch who need to be performing. Josh Ryan on the doon team could be a bolter. Young joy from Kilmallock and Henley should also be looked at. While the likes of Kevin o brien and maybe somebody like young Flynn could be looking to get into that extended panel. Should be a few clues anyway. I think doon will win and I’d fancy Kilmallock to pull clear of nap but with 15 minutes to go nap will come back into it. Whether Kilmallock have the depth to hold I’m not sure but it will be tight.

Just watched back Dodge’s speech after the 2013 Munster final.

What a man.

“I KNEW - AND WE KNEW - WE WOULD NOT BE BEATEN.”

Was it at half time they realised that?
