Looks like NAP refused to accommodate switching the final from tonight to another date. Apparently the mungret under 13s were involved in an all Ireland blitz in kerry and qualified out of their group on Saturday and played in the final yesterday. They didn’t want the players playing again tonight understandably. It’s bitterly disappointing nap wouldnt rearrange the game. County finals at that age are special for the kids involved. It’s also a pity the county board couldn’t step in and say to nap this game is being moved get over it. Instead it comes to this. It’s also very silly of people to be putting up photos of kids celebrating a walkover on twitter. Mungret are a proud club and there’s really no need to rub it in like that. Surely the aim is for the kids to play games not win trophies due to walkovers.
He’ll be Limerick player manager yet.
That’s the way it’s gone now.
A valuable lesson learned for the young lads. They’ll never play football again.
Ah stop…
Go easy lad, they arent gettin a cent and have to go to school tomorrow
They’ve had previous with this sort of thing. You think a bit of cop on would come into these guys heads.
The fixtures were made two weeks ago and they sought to rearrange it at the last minute. Trying to blackguard NaP they were but Dowling took non of it.
It’s great to be back to normal.
The fixture was made last Monday and they immediately tried to get it swapped.
Throw up the tweet of celebration.
Pull out of the invitational football tournament then sure ffs
If it was anyone else people would be outraged. But Mungret are detested by everyone.
This could be great for Limerick hurling long term . A proper hatred between two big city clubs either side of the river
Everyone hates everyone in Linerick hurling . The last month has been a freakish anomaly .
@balbec will be seething that Mungret decided it was more important to impress the Kerry lads at football than to play a hurling county final.
So Mungret, and some anti na piarsaigh lads on here, are upset because they brought their u13s down to a two day invitational football tournament in kerry knowing they had an u13 hurling final the following night.
Only one club wrong here and it isn’t na piarsaigh
What would you know about any of that?
Are you still sickened I spoke about the all Ireland final so now your advocating under 13 finals being settled by walkovers yere little group is flying tonight trying to stick together. Some true gaels on here. Bloodys kids chance of playing in a county final taken away from them.
