Sorry yeah know what you mean now. Yeah both were prob slight favorites to come out.
Ahane had a shocking year on paper looking at their scorelines.
Much better for this game Doon 5 up 57 mins gone
look to be on the way. English having a stormer
Jesus what a score from Josh Ryan there.
Doon much sharper no Darragh O Donovan either
Doon win 17 points to 10 through to semi final Kilmallock play Murroe-Boher in the q final
Doon win by seven. Well deserved. Very complacent performance from us in the first half. Got it back to one point in 48th minute but didn’t score again. Assuming we beat Murroe-Boher I’d still fancy us against Doon in a semi but we won’t get within ten points of Na Piarsaigh based on this showing. Richie English was outstanding.
I presume semi is an open draw ?
The two group winners nap and doon are kept apart.
Yeah I know that but either of quarter final winners can play either Nap or Doon?
Quarter finals.
Liberties v Patrickswell
Murroe/Boher v Kilmallock.
Doon and Na Piarsaigh advance to the semi finals.
Liberties v the Well was a heavyweight clash in the 70s
I hope they play the quarter finals as a double header in Bruff and not in HQ which would be 95% empty with the accompanying atmosphere of a wake.
There is no chance in hell of the B group teams winning either of those matches
Beefy in goal for Blackrock?
He was yeah, but look he still has plenty to offer at this level.
I would never intentionally burn a player for the sake of it, but your first team has to take priority at the same time.
Feoghanagh won 10 to 8.
Brilliant afternoon down at the club as the cup was joyously welcomed.
Well done to the organising committee for a fine set up. Free BBQ, cakes, tea and coffeee and a blitz for the kids between hurling, camogie and Gaelic football. Blessed with the weather too.
The cup is actually heavier than you’d think!
Fair play to Tom Condon and Declan Hannon for taking the time to arrive on, the captain especially who came straight out after playing a bruising club match.
Took the plunge and booked those flights in November too.
Shipping up to Boston oh oh oh

I think Garvey now qualifies for an MME award ( member of the McManus Empire ) he’ll be summoned up to the big house soon, he’ll put on a green blazer ( fashionable circa 1997) and get a medal and a 32” hurley touched on either shoulder by Lady Noreeen and maybe if he’s lucky Lord Jp might be in residence ( might have to leave if the revenue commissioners are watching) and he can get to have afternoon tea with him.
