What with ASR wining hartys with less and less clare men being picked, winning the 21s, winning some Munster minors, na piarsaig bring one of the best club sides ever and the next Mick Mackey about to graduate secondary school things have never been as promising for limerick hurling.
Exactly. Na P produced the majority of those players at the start that backboned most of those teams. The arrival of a underage Na P stars and Hannon at the same time as the arrival of Moran kickstarted hurling in the school. Coincidence rather than any work the school put in really. One or two teachers were ploughing a lone furrow for a long time but not getting a look in with the rugby. Success breeds success then and all of a sudden players are now joining ASR for hurling.
