My heart drops every time I see John Fitzgibbonās name on the team sheet. Nothing against the lad, but he does not possess the skillset of an inter-county hurler.
Hickey shouldnāt be there either, if we are judging on current form. A guy with lots of talent, but he has been poor all this current campaign and stretching well back into the last one.
The two half backs should be D. Morrissey and S. OāBrien.

About time Seanie got a run, although at corner back it almost seems a token gesture, hopefully not. Iād like to see him tried midfield. Hickey at wing back seems set in stone now, not sure about that. Is it really between Morrissey or OāBrien for the other wing?

Good to see Pat Ryan get a chance at last, been very under-utilised so far. Same with Seanie OāBrien, although I really donāt think heās a corner-back and I think itās a bit unfair on him to play there because he must believe that heās one of the best wing-backs we have and realistically heās not better than English or Condon in the corner. When Paudie is getting another go at wing-back, it must be very frustrating. Paudie is a midfielder, and I reckon heād be a better half-forward than half-back in any case. I wouldnāt have minded seeing Wayne getting a start either.
Happy to see KOB get a chance too inside, and I like Tom Morrissey at centre-forward.
John Fitzgibbon at wing-forward, or even as the extra midfielderā¦ Iād be echoing @Gary_Birtles_Lovechi there. Darragh OāDonovan, Barry Nash, Cian Lynch, Seanie Tobin all better options not includedd. I like that heās trying players but I just donāt think heās the answer.

Good decision to rest some lads who have played loads of hurling the last two months,we will need every player in the starting 15 next week to be ready for a 70 minute dog fight.
English, Nash and Lynch have played a phenomenal amount of games in recent weeks. Resting them tonight, or at least not starting them, is actually a common sense approach. Still a strong team out that should have enough to win.
Peter Casey will be knackered with all the matches he is playing. How he must get the time to study for the Leaving is beyond me.
You can repeat the Leaving, you canāt repeat Minor.

They actually led by 3 points late on, 1-17 to 0-17. Athenry got 3 in a row to level it before Brian Ryan won it in the last minute.
That fucking clown Johnny Ryan threw in the ball at the start of the game and Ard Scoil scored a goal immediately. The fucker decided that the āgoalie wasnāt readyā and disallowed the goal and threw the ball in again. This cunt just makes up the rules as he goes along. How heās an inter-county referee utterly defeats me.
