Things arenât as black and white as that in sport. Yes there will be extra motivation, youâd imagine, but for example his lack of input before and during the game could well bring about itâs own negatives to offset the âpositivesâ of their extra motivation. For example are the rest of the management team up to scratch enough that there will be no obvious slack from this late mans absence?
