the arrabawn is a blitz that takes place over two days in front of two men and a dog. the munster minor championship is a series of matchs over a period of weeks with increasing crowds and a final on a huge stage finishes in front of 20 to 30 thousand people depending on how fast the supporters come in.
if brian ryan does not have a good management set up limerick will not do a thing. poorly prepared players regardless of their talent will not win minor champoinships.
if they win the munster final he will be due credit no matter how he got the job

I don’t think he would disagree with you TAN. But there is the makings of a very talented group of players there, they have a top class coach involved in Wallace which will be most of the job done, and a few selectors to help pick a team. Ryan should not be at the pin of his collar to train the team, select it, come up with tactics, etc. If they have Wallace coaching them they will be well prepared without Ryan having to have any input at all.
The fact is you had one man with very little experience who is also a divisive figure and another man who was very well respected who had been with this group of players a few years and been very successful with them and with an excellent track record. Now, surely this decision should be a no brainer to any reasonable person. Add to that the man being parachuted in is having every possible advantage granted to him to get the job and to succeed with this group and you would have to be very blinkered not to think that something is wrong here.
