Limerick GAA - We get knocked down šŸ

Puke, Iā€™ll take this one in Flanoā€™s and NCCā€™s absence if you donā€™t mind. I believe heā€™s called up Sammy Oā€™Sticktheball and Willie McWhacktheball.

:D:D

you would want to lose about 4 stone before you would fit into a pair of togs, doubt they make helmets big enough to fit that mellon of yourā€™s either

Sammy has potential but Willie is a poor manā€™s Albert Shanahan

I used to wear tracksuit pants while hurling with Tour, much more comfortable than wearing trunks. Iā€™m sure Justin is prepared to make that sort of exception.

I have recieved a report on the big trial game last night and itā€™s not good.

Apparently they had to play 12 a-side because so few turned up.
Other very bad news out of the camp as well.

jesus, Limerick are gona have a fair shit team next year:D

Donā€™t keep secrets, Runty.

In all seriousness, itā€™s good to see Justin take action after the wholly inappropriate drinking session in Wexford the night of the qualifier game last summer. No wonder no hopers like Laois nearly caught you the next weekend.

line up for the probables on friday night:
(12 a side)
murray
lynch - condon - walsh
moloney - hickey - oā€™mahoney
browne
oā€™sullivan - ryan
oā€™brien - mcnamara

didnt get all the possibles
barry hennessey or dave bulfin ?? (couldnā€™t be sure, whoever he was subbed for aaron murphy at ht, switching to the green jersey and murray sitting it out)

jason hayes and james maan??? were fed to the wolves as the full back line
dean madden, thomas cahill and andrew brennan rotated as half backs / midfield, cahill hurled an amount of ball and was told he was hurling well by justin himself, about the only one who got any sort of feedback during the match

half forward line of tom oā€™brien, owens and full forward line of oā€™connor, mulcahy and mckehoe??, with graeme mulcahy going to midfield in the second half.

iā€™ll post up scores later, donā€™t have them to hand and itā€™s lashing rain outside. was competitive in the first half, 3-06 to 1-07 at half time.

probables pulled away in the end comfortably.

driven on vocally by hickey at CB, murray when he was on the pitch, and the 3 wise men on the sideline.

50 were contacted, 34 expressed interest, and only 24 brought their gear. few others were interested onlookers.

P.S. JPā€™s new gate has to be seen to be believed.

Seeing JPā€™s gate was probably the highlight of the evening. Some fucking gate for one gate.

Is it finished now? I went by it about 6 months ago and it pretty impressive even then. It looks like something out of ancient Rome.

If we keep talking about JP`s gate maybe this nasty business with the hurlers will disappear . Anyone have a picture of the gate ?

The gate is unreal alright. I drove past it there a few weeks ago and thought iā€™d entered the twilight zone or somethingā€¦

Limerick GAA chairman Liam Lenihan has apologised to those who have been omitted.
ā€œOn behave of the County Board I apologise if the players were offended in any way,ā€ Liam Lenihan told Leader Sport.
ā€œIf we caused any hurt to any player, I would say sorry.ā€
The chairman said that the hurling management did not communicate with the omitted players as a series of trials is to take place for fringe players and those omitted could yet be included in the final panel if no new talent is unearthed.
ā€œI know the effort all players make for the county team and I apologise for any hurt caused to them,ā€ said the County Board chairman.

FFS, they are like Fawlty Towers or something. Fuckin dopes.

I should have bit on this one shouldnt I?

Iā€™m very interested in this threadā€¦tell me more about JPs gates

I took this picture when we played a friendly up there earlier in the year:

Thatā€™s for you to decide. I was merely referring to McCarthy being seriously pissed off that half his team got rat arsed in Mackenā€™s and The Wrenā€™s Nest after the game that night instead of travelling back to Limerick with the squad.
