I heard there was hi-jinx in the Junior hurling quarter final?
Referee John Paul Kiely was assaulted during the junior county quarter-final between Feohangh-Castlemahon and Kilteely-Dromkeen on Sunday and made the official complaint so that it “doesn’t happen to other referees.”
In what was a tempestuous match, Feohanagh-Castlemahon won the game 2-13 to 0-12 after Kilteely-Dromkeen finished the game with 11 men, including three straight red cards.
The match was initially suspended for five minutes after Kiely was struck by a Kilteely-Dromkeen player before the game resumed.
“I reported it to the guards,” the referee told The Limerick Leader.
“My neck and shoulders are in agony – there’s a big mark on my shoulder.”
“I’m not looking to make any financial gain. The reason I am making the complaint is I don’t want this to happen to other referees.”
The incident was also included in his match report.
County board chairman Oliver Mann told the paper that the report was sent back to the referee for clarification and once processed, the CCC (Competitions Control Committee) will deal with it.
The CC will then propose a penalty and send it to the player, or players who will then have 72 hours to either accept the penalty or appeal it.

Pats have answered everything asked of them so far this year. I think if I had to put my neck on the line I’d go for them to prevail by a point or two.
They probably have the best set of forwards in the county at the moment and Hegarty is the in form midfielder and their back have only conceded 3 goals all year.

On flip side, goals have been key to Pats march to the final and Ballylanders defence is even meaner, only conceding 2 all year.

@TreatyStones remember we discussed this ref getting suspended 4 years ago for hitting a lad back after he was punched? he is meant to be a complete fuck wit mind you!

Loves controversy and invites trouble from what I’ve heard. Rarely if ever had him ourselves.

Enough about yourself
The parish of Adare hits three baronies- Kenry, Upper Connello and Coshma- The majority of it, including the town, sit in Coshma which is the same barony as Croom, Bruff, Athlacca- None of Which are in west Limerick. It was considered part of the Croom poor law union!!! Adare is not West Limerick but is the last town before you enter the wilderness of Westy Limerick.

Baronies are no longer relevant, not since pre-independence time. And just because it was thrown in with non-west towns does not mean it is not geographically in west limerick. I know many people from Adare, they’d laugh at you if you tried to convince them they weren’t from the western part of the county.

Let’s look at some relevant stats:

Adare is in the Rathkeale Electoral Area - West Limerick

Adare GAA teams are part of the West Board - West Limerick

Adare United FC plays in The Desmond League - West Limerick

Adare is physically, geographically, and any way you like, in WEST LIMERICK.

Have a nice day Mr Mouse.

'Twas the British put Adare into West Limerick so.

So would you class Croom as East Limerick?

I would

You’re an idiot

The world doesn’t revolve around GAA divisions.

What would you class it as?

Agreed, Adare and Croom are slap bang in the middle of the county

A shithole

Adare should be in the City division. Sure they are only down the road from the 'Well.

Sure Kildimo should be in the west as they are only back the road from Kilcornan.
Oola should be in Tipperary cause it’s only over the road from the junction.
