YE NEEED OUR HELP
Yea tee
Will we give them hurlers while we are at it them poor lads
this is becoming seriously embarrassing for limerick hurling.
no one can win a county championship unless a clare man is in charge and now we have to go over there and teach yere kids hoiw to hurl as well
be strange seeing Anthony Daly donning the green and white of Limerick along the sideline. I assume he will be on the sideline with Leo?
I say so
He would be great for Limerick and perfact manager
The Clare lads are seething. Limerick money talks.
Why are Clare lads so desperate to be involved in Limerick hurling?
The all ighty ollar.
Everyone of them have made a small fortune from limerick clubs over the years and moved on before the fall from grace in each instance. Nothing there at all to be proud of for limerick hurling. Its embarrassing alright though.
Daly another now being bought in. Seems a nice man and a capable type but to my knowledge he has no track record of working with youth and what does he know about setting up/tweaking/managing structures such as development squads? Fuck all is my guess but sure throw a heap of cash at him he is a big name sure but maybe thus weill eork by default and he will be in the senior chair come mid summer and I think that would be a good fit for our current panel of players.
Answer to your q is money. Limerick have plenty and there is no point giving it to proven imbeciles when you can throw it at a foreigner.
Fuck Daly*
Daly is an alright sort.
It seems like Wallace was doing a great job but the baby has been thrown out with the bath water and theyāve decided to get rid of him along with Brian Ryan. Daly is a well regarded manager but this is a completely different job, I donāt know is this where his talents lie. Kinnerk would have been perfect, I presume they couldnāt get him. @ciarancareyshurlingarmy whats your thoughts on this?
Well Itās your success
Daly is a man manager, a leader of men, simple as that. A good one but no more. No track record of coaching. No track record of working with youth apart from starting a mass brawl at the last minor match he was involved with. I have great time for him mind but he is the wrong man for this job and its a simple case of throwing money at a man for the sake of it.
Read his book and its all about different methods of getting the maximum effort from the Dublin hurlers. The only mention of coaching is various mentions of Tommy Dunne holding a really good hurling session with them, no specifics and completly left to Dunne while he was in a room thinking up the next mental trick.
Daly will be gone as soon as a decent gig comes his way unless he lands the senior job as this season goes on.

Did he not right that wrong with the young fellas, and even went on to lead them to the County title the following year? You who read his book can confirm this perhaps.

And teege has
Limerick should be glad to have him . More of JPs money flowing across the co border also no harm at all
If teege canāt win it. JP will buy it
Dont recall that in the book but its besides the point that he was second man into a mass sideline brawl at an underage match.
It will be interesting to see what his role is. Heās not directly replacing anybody (ok maybe Cregan) so he/they will have to make it up as they go along. Best of luck.
