Limerick is the home of hurling’s biggest sugar daddy and has the usual suspects hopping like sausages in a pan

Are limerick the Dublin of hurling? Millions pumped in by JP. I am surprised Ewan Mackenna has not latched onto this crusade. Hard for the likes of Waterford to compete.

I’ve spent a good wedge following them

An unfair argument to bring up this week.

This week as good as any week. Academy’s from 14 up. Thousands paid to outside coaches like Anthony Daly and Gerry Wallace. Massive elephant in the room in my opinion.

We are happy just to be there.

Dungeon. The seeth is strong in you kid.

Waterford is a financially weak county. They had to fundraise for a few days in New York a few years back while JP whisked his guys off to Sandy Lane.

I know a lack of success plays a part but you’d never see the Waterford lads driving sponsored cars compared to Limericks galacticos either.

I didn’t realise two of the back room are from Clare. Would Clare be sore over how they lost these guys to Limerick ?

Every county has an academy mate, they don’t cost anything

How much did the monument to Frank cost?

No comparison. Here are the numbers from 2018

Dublin received 18 million
Limerick (15th position for funding) received less than 1 million.

Dungeon? Thousands spent on outside coaches. Players on 10 year college courses so basically full time hurlers. Well semi pro anyway.

Ya and we had to get rid of them all

Cmere langer.

Pat horgan was “working” in EMC 10 years ago. I say “working” because EMC were sponsoring Cork and had him in around the place not working.

14 counties received more funding than Limerick did.

Limerick made better investments than most with the money.

Limerick have a billionaire backer.

So have Cork

Your original point is misleading.

The GAA pump millions into Dublin GAA. Limerick get a very small amount of funding from the GAA.

Limerick spent the money very wisely. They should be allocated a lot more funding than they have been.

Who’s that?
