Why did these clowns decide to scrape it again? They’re never happy unless they’re changing stuff that there’s nothing wrong with. Scrapping minor and U21, Super 8’s in football, moving All Ireland finals into August. Roll on a ‘Champions League style’ hurling and football championship.
Same reason they nearly charge lads like me to go in to watch a Junior B hurling match on a Sunday morning.
V little thought goes into these decisions at HQ.
U21 has been a great competition for over 50 years and consistently produces excellent games.
All Ireland Finals in August is just utter nonsense. Half the f*cking country is on holidays in August. I don’t understand this helping club players mantra. Most student club players are gone for the summer and are only arriving back in September.
