@Watchyourtoes
Im on the bench Joe,disappointed.
Spilly took your place man
Great to have you back for a bit with some pre game giddyness. The best of luck to Clare this year, I think they will win next week and will have a decent year, possibly semi-finalists.
Thanks man. I hope Limerick have a satisfactory year!
Looking forward to the banter now.
Can’t see Dickie English not starting mush
I didn’t think I’d be able to attend, but circumstances have changed and now I’ll make it. Pretty sure that means a definite win for us.
Man-of-the-match display from Deccie Hannon at centre-back to drive Limerick home to a 5-point victory!
From the team that played Waterford last Thursday night it looks like
N Quaid
S Finn R Mc Carthy M Casey
D Morrissey D Hannon S Hickey
J Ryan P Brown
S Dowling C Lynch D Dempsey(Instead of Hegarty who got injured)
P Casey K Hayes G Mulcahy
Subs
B Hennessy
T Condon R English S Cahill D O Donavan
C Ryan T Morrissey G Mulcahy
A Gillane P Ryan R Lynch
It looks like Finn has overtaken English in the corner and Dan Morrissy has overtaken Gavin
How did that game go?? I presume Nash is the other sub where you have named Mulcahy twice.
A fair few surprises if that is actually the teams. Pretty much no one is predicting a limerick win. Limerick haven’t shown their hand to any great extent in the league. A fair few unheralded players in the team. And it’s our turn to win…
Well poised for an ambush and upset. Blind optimism rising.
No Nash??
all depends on the weather really…
good man
Wouldn’t think that half-forward line will have enough work-rate in them. Very light full-forward line.
That team would be surprising. English wasn’t spectacular during the League but he wasn’t awful either and I’d have said he was ahead of Casey. And no Condon either. I think Gavin is better than Dan but it’s not a huge surprise, I’d prefer someone like Ryan to either tbh.
No Nash would surprise me a little, just for the fact he’s comfortable taking scores. Against Galway even, he tapped over a few points when others were struggling to get on the ball. Dempsey is capable of brilliance but he goes very quiet in games. With Hegarty gone, I’d prefer Kyle on the wing and Nash inside. I’d definitely pick Peter Casey when he’s on form.
Typical Limerick lads here “surprised” about the possible ommission of players who have done nothing to warrant inclusion!
The only genuine surprise from the team above is that Finn may have ousted English. Condon was never in the running all year and his time on the panel is running out. Morrissey and Gavin in a straight shoot out for Byrnes spot, and though Gavin is the more accomplished hurler the word is that Morrissey is going very well. Saw the game v Cork and thought Gavin O’Mahoney was excellent so if Morrissey has trumped that he must be flying it.
Nash does not deserve to start and has a bit to do to get in past young Hayes, Casey or even Graeme Mulcahy. Very very ordinary since his self imposed exile and no harm at all to leave him sitting for a while. The days of the fuck acting are long gone, he must earn the jersey back which he hasn’t as of yet.
Apologies , Yeah Nash is the other sub
Fully agree with your points , although I think Graeme hasn’t set the world alight at the minute
Damn good post ,
That was the team from what I hear started
