The game has actually kicked up a notch or two in terms of relevance. Ok it’s a Munster semi final but in real terms we all thought that the winner of this was going into a hiding to nothing against Tipp.
Cork have showed their hand. Waterford will not have it easy and there is the added pressure of expectation on their shoulders this year. Both Limerick and Clare will also feel that there is now a decent chance of silverware this season.
All this talk of bringing lads in too young was blown out of the water by Cork yesterday.
Tipp ultimately won’t give a fuck about yesterday and will view it as nothing more then a set back and will still be expecting to be there or thereabouts. But in Leinster in particular they will all want to avoid the qualifiers now given the way the draw is
The general consensus was that the last 4 was going to be made up of Tipp, Galway, Kilkenny, Waterford. Yesterday’s result means that it can at best be three of those 4 and I suspect come august it will be two.

Standing by my prediction of Limerick winning this. Clare and Tipp will meet in the qualifiers this year
What would the 2013 team have beaten Tipp by yesterday?
It’s still possible all four can make it to the semis if Waterford win Munster and Tipp play Clare/Limerick in the quarter-final.
At least one of Tipperary and Waterford was going into the qualifiers anyway because of the Munster draw.
That 2013 team barely got by a poor Cork team, the lads yesterday would have won by 15 points.
Limerick will win this handy.
