I really expected more structure to Limerick under Kiely. It was just the same type of performance you got from the last years of TJ. Very little intensity, desire, leadership, confidence etc.

I despair Massey, I really do. To look at the positives, the young lad Kyle Hayes did well after a nervy start when he was moved out. It was also nice that the explosive bang at the end of the game was not a terrorist attack on this occasion.

I had a tin in my bag from the train and I volunteered it up - I didn’t want the lads getting nervous with a Turkish looking chap refusing to let them near his bag.

It was timed exquisitely. Even the ref missed a beat on the full time whistle over it.
That was bizarre - No one even noticed the final whistle due to it.

My heart jumped. As ludicrous as it seems now, for a split second I thought something crazy was after happening.
I believe there was an element of racial profiling to the searching, Thumper. The security team didn’t spend too long checking the smelly Dunnes bag of fellas who looked like they walked all the way from Feakle.

Someone was carried out of that terrace by paramedics earlier… anyone get the low down?
I think Clare got the goals at the right time. Galvin was excellent and the ball O’Donnell got he was very impressive. He has it in him, injuries are the only thing that will halt him as they have done so far. The better side won for me but Limerick made some school boy errors and I do think one or two of our players have huge scope to really kick on over the next few years. I think Clare can win Munster as they have a very effective 8-15. I think the half back line is average and O’Connor is struggling for legs. No reason Clare won’t have a good year. Both sides were fit. On another note, if it was a bad day weather wise I would not fancy Clare in the physical side of things.
A better observer than me would really have a time of it, describing what descends on Thurles on championship day.
