It would make sense in fairness
Breen is going to be tried at centre back

how do you see Limerick lining out Mac?

Murphy
Walsh
McCathy
Hickey
Allis
Breen
Morrissey
POB
Jim-Bob
Lynch
Hannon
Browne
Mulcahy
Dowling
Begley

Thatā€™s probably our strongest 15 on form.

Not far off the above. Big decision to make between Breen and Hannon but they can always alternate throughout the game anyway without too much disruption

Not a bad team Iā€™d be worried about the half back line very inexperienced. Donā€™t know about Pat Begley either tbh we will see in 3 weeks time I suppose.

My team would be
Murphy/Hennessy
Walsh
McCarthy
Hickey
Condon
Wayne Mac
POB
Jim Bob
Browne
Hannon
Oā€™Mahony
Lynch
Mulcahy
Dowling
Downes

If that team lines out TJ should be hung from his bollox outside the gaelic grounds and bate to death with a hurlā€¦ Everyone in Limerick can have one clatter at him.

I donā€™t think Downes will have the fitness to start, a sub yes. I wouldnā€™t have Lynch near the half forward line either- play him corner forward or again on the bench and bring him in if the game opens up.

My team for the 24th would be

Murphy
Walsh
McCarthy
Hickey
Condon
Wayne Mac (Donā€™t see another viable option unfortunately)
GOM
JimBob
Browne (Would be insanity imo to break up that midfield partnership)
Breen (If fit for 40 mins)
Hannon
Downes (If he goes well against Wexford/Kilkenny)
Lynch
Dowling
Mulcahy

You then have SOB, POB and Dan Morrisey as cover from 2-8, Dodge again if fit would give the team and supporters a huge lift as an impact sub along with Seanie Tobin for Breen.

Couple of big things that need to improve on from the league game:

Richie- Mark Schutte destroyed him utterly. He looked completely off the pace, but youā€™d have faith in Richie being good for Championship. If heā€™s not, weā€™re fucked.
Half Backs- Need to learn how to catch a ball; we are likely to only have 1 from the game against Dublin and Jim-Bob will hopefully give them extra protection.
Hannon- Had a shocker really, really needs to up his intensity levels.
Half Forwards- Also need to work on their ballwinning, Dublin cleaned us out.

Having Hickey for a full 70 will help too, hopefully Dowling will be livelier and hopefully we can feed Mulcahy good ball as much as possible. Such a waste not to have him in the game.

bugs will be on

Thereā€™s been mixed injury news this weekend for Limerickā€™s hurlers, ahead of their Munster Championship meeting with Clare in just over two weeksā€™ time.

All-Star Seamus Hickey and Kevin Downes played for their clubs in the second round of the Limerick Senior Hurling championship.

Hickey was making his first appearance since injuring his hamstring in the Allianz League Quarter Final loss to Dublin at the end of March.

Sounds like good news really Joe.

Bad news for Clare, maybe. All wannabe Limerickmen really, I suppose.

20 min out of downes

west clare and hurling my god. lads bog ball is on another thread

I have no intrest in them cow boys

Lynch has massive potential and could be the outstanding new talent in this years championship.

Like his uncle, he has the style and excitement factor that can influence a game.

Start him against clare in 3 weeks at wing forward with Hannon on the other wing.
