A solid man with more about him than any of the useless cunts sniping at him here.
Yeah itâs a decent read. Hooked is the title iirc.
Was walking on eggshells myself as well.
I did. He had a fierce high opinion of himself.
Justin McCarthy was a bad appointment at the time for Limerick. A great hurling man there is no doubt, but has zero relevance to this particular thread at the same time.
Saying that, not ringing the players was terrible. Look that whole episode from the AI semi final in 09 to the strike year is better forgotten. Awful dark days.
Justin McCarthy was a great appointment for Limerick. It was the players that were the problem.
I have to say, the cork fans beside us in the lower hogan were exceptionally sportingâŚWe all shook hands after the game.
Same was the case in the upper south stand in PuC earlier in Munster.
Boozy louts who wanted to run the show & kicked the bucket when he stood up to them.
Lads whinging because Justin didnât give a fuck about their personal lives.
What attitude? What was wrong with Shaughnessyâs attitude?
Justin was a great in his time, but a dinosaur only good for sanding hurleys when he took over Limerick.
Tipperary have a bit more than that to worry about at the moment. Mind your own house you fucking simpleton.
Weâll have to agree to disagree on this. In my view he blackguarded the county, itâs certainly a shame his career ended up that way.
brilliant
Justin was a fantastic coach for Waterford. Better coach than a manager. Players loved him for a long time. Six years is a good run with any county team, but frustration set in after the 2007 semi final loss.
Is he not the fellow who told Mark Landers to take a good look around PuC, he wouldnât be seeing the inside of it again?
If any man deserved itâŚ
(It was actually John Meyler)
Hurling fans arenât passionate
I replayed that celebration a few times not gonna lie. I loved it.
The roar off the crowd too was music to my ears.
We are lucky that technology has moved in. If we were still reliant on the auld VCR, Iâd be fucked out on my ear by now,
We are to be fair. RTE (live), Sky Sports & Sunday game Iâve watched the game on all!
