Cork won’t beat Galway so I hope Limerick win as they might have the physicality for them. I suspect they lose a close final with Galway experience winning it in the end

Are you Cork? They’ve killed lads for less down there boy

I believe styles dictate alot of where games are won and lost.
That’s what made KK great. They had super hurlers within a style that was almost impossible to beat anyway at almost.

But they are rare. These days everyone has a style and match ups matter

I do not believe cork match well with Galway for sure and Limerick either but they can compete with them based on experience. I thought Limerick all things considered and after a 2nd viewing were a bit better than Cork in round Robin game.

Cork are not great with any kind of break either.

Limerick are more of a match up with Galway

One huge difference between Cork and Kilkenny is Cork do have a lot of firepower even when not playing particularly well.

Limerick hit three points in two minutes after Kilkenny’s goal, but that is the kind of thing Cork can do too.

If we keep the head, we can definitely get at their backs as we did the last day but we’ll need to defend better ourselves for sure, gave up some sloppy scores at times.

Limerick will win by 4 at least . And fwiw I wasn’t confident we would bate Kk .

Go back to not being confident you bollox…

we are in reverse here - i was confident of beating KK but not Cork.

Limerick will bate Cork . Fill your boots . Good price .

That match on Sunday was the most nervous I’d been at any game in years. Would have been a big set back for a young team in their development. I could hardly watch the last two mins. Such a monkey off the back to knock out Kilkenny, the manner of it even more impressive. Thankfully the coolest Limerick people in Thurles were out on the pitch.

Can relax a bit now for Sunday week. Although I’m sure by throw in I’ll be white as a ghost.

I was literally sick … when they got the goal I had a mental breakdown.

I did my cruciate kicking the seat in front of me.

I knew we’d beat Kilkenny because we are simply a better hurling team.

I think we’re better than Cork too but they’re a more dangerous animal. All these fast fuckers running into space, hard to keep hold of them.

But we saw what our work rate with just 14 men did the last day, their backs hit some very sloppy balls. With 15 men and the same manic intensity from our front 8 and we give our backs the best chance possible. Definitely need to be tighter on Horgan too, the fucker kept them in it the last day.

I do fancy us but we need to be switched on for the full 70. No lapses of concentration and no fucking red cards.

To be fair you have to put a stake through Kk before you know they are beat . I really only believed when I say it on the 6 o clock news .

Would you say that Kilkenny are a better team than Cork or is it some mental weakness that you anticipate?

That’s an idiotic statement.

Cork are easily the 2nd best team in the country behind Galway. Be a very interesting match up if those two meet. Of course Limerick are capable of beating Cork - I’d just have the Langers as slight favourites… As an attacking unit they are top notch and as a team have been here knocking on the door for a while.

Kk have more dirty ball winners . I think the cork defence is not great and there is massive pressure on cork . The lads still there from the 2013 team need to win an AI . Another semi final defeat after winning Munster will mean cork will need to look at the real talent at 18 - 21 age group .

Lk were better equipped for the battle in PUC . Cork’s zippy game is great in full flow but if it breaks down they really struggle .

I think we kept Harnedy scoreless that day. That was a heroic effort with 14 on a boiling evening.

I think we’ve a better back six but arguably their forward line is stronger. The likes of Lehane can be in and out of a game and still rattle over five points from play. Horgan always seems to play well against us too.

We are due to raise a few green flags ourselves at this stage. Omitting Carlow, we’ve had blanks against Clare, Cork & Kilkenny, one against Tipp and two v Waterford. At least we created the chances at the weekend. Would be more worrying if they weren’t being created.

Big conundrum now on our inside three. You can’t drop any of Mul, Flanagan or Gillane but P Casey is probably our best forward…

This Cork team can mix it if they have to… They physically gave it to Clare in the Munster final… a team that bullied us two weeks previously.
