Limerick v Cork, tits done now

Youā€™re spot on, Eoin Murphy deserves an All Star.

All you could do was laugh.

It was a catalyst.
That was the problem at the time . Loads of lads considered themselves undroppable. If Shane Dowling had the same attitude weā€™d be in the middle of another strike.

A hurling man to the absolute core, one of the best ever
Thereā€™s plenty of people of our fathers generation whoā€™d say he would have been one of the all time greats as a player as well if it wasnā€™t for the accident, itsawful to read some of the things said about him

He is a lovely man. Disagreeing with his stance is one thing, calling him all sorts of names is wrong.

Lads ok, calling him names fair enough might be wrong here but surely thereā€™s an argument to be made.

He was hardly a Saint in all this. It was a disgrace that year and an embarrassment for Limerick hurling. Picked up a pretty penny and left us in a complete shit heap.

You are wrong, two senior players were sen laughing when the camera panned to them. The last fucking thing you would want to see after losing to them.

Iā€™m only judging Justin McCarthy on his time as our manager.

And he was absolutely abysmal. Non existent man management, no tactical nous and generally ran us into the ground. Caused untold damage.

I donā€™t want to talk about him the week weā€™ve reached an All-Ireland final, even if he is another Mother Teresa.

Who told you all that bullshit?

People read way too much into stuff like this

bar 2007 and Richie Bennis, the years 2003-2010 were forgettable in terms of managerial appointments. Dave Keane didnā€™t last pissing time for whatever reason, Pad Joe, Joe McKenna and Justin McCarthy.

Fucking hell. That is bleak reading.

People involved under him, as it so happens.

I know of one player (not from my own club) who was on the panel in 2009 and McCarthy didnā€™t speak to him once all year long. Not once. Not a word of constructive criticism, not a word of encouragement, not a word of feedback. Zilch.

The charisma of a jagged rock.

:rofl::rofl:

Great response, sums up your level of hurling knowledge and ability to debate.

He was ran from Waterford and even the Limerick D team thought he was shit. Thatā€™s good enough for me.

Classic limerick always blame the manager. Successful teams are always player driven.

Lads,
We are having our best season in fucking decades. Decades I tell you. We are in an AIF and have a chance of winning it. I couldnā€™t give a continental if Justin McCarthy has the number of the beast tattooed on his arse.
Iā€™m still on a high and have no intention of coming down off it.
Itā€™s done, gone, consigned to history. Move on

Fellaā€™s will never move on from anything.

I might consider getting involved in this kind of scutter on a cold December evening when thereā€™s fuck all else going on. But right now? Nah

He may have been found wanting coaching wise at the end but that was 2002. He fucking started in 1970.

To be able to be effective for that long takes something. My uncle won a South east in 77 (when it was probably same standard as Premium Int now) with him. Simple thing was everything was done to make you better hurlers.

A beautiful simple concept.
