Limerick v Tipperary MSHC Semi Final 2015

It’s a boost for Limerick, but not a big one.

Perhaps the tide is turning? Limerick starting to improve in training and the injuries seem less serious than they were last week.

Concerns floating around about tipps fitness and that their preparation has not been ideal.

'Desperate to win a game’ is the feeling in the tipp camp. This is not a great frame of mind for a team entering the Munster championship where they have failed to win a game in a good few years.

The biggest problem for the tipp players will be maintaining their mental strength against a team that always beats them.

It is a heavy burden and huge pressure for the tipp players and their manager.

Not for the last couple of years they aren’t.

When will Mulcahy finally open up in a championship match and rack up a big score? I want him to score 3-3 next Sunday.

Who’s better?

Barrett and David McInerney.
Liam Ryan is getting there.

I suppose he has to get the ball first.

David who?

Hope all is well Bobsie Boo x

Lots of injury worries for Tipp. Barrett definitely out, Cahill probably not starting. Barry hasn’t played too much hurling this year. Bubbles and John McGrath also injured but may play

Murphy, Yes.
You are having a laugh with the other 2.

Gaelic Grounds is going to be unplayable on Sunday due to long grass

This will occur on Sunday.

The tipp full back line will concede at least 5 goals.

tipps full back line is very weak. Paudie and James Ryan will play lots of ball into the hands of Dowling. Mulcahy will feed off Dowlng and will get 3 goals.

tipp lads badly rattled

:clap::clap::clap:

Any truth the the story doing the rounds that Bubbles fucked up his ankle at the weekend?

Training was inappropriate. Trying to do too much too quickly.

It’s very odd that tipp are having these fitness issues so close to their opening championship match.

An ankle injury is threatening John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer’s participation in Tipperary’s Munster SHC semi-final against Limerick next Sunday.

The Irish Daily Mirror is reporting that the 23-year-old suffered the injury during a recent weekend training camp at Carton House in Maynooth and Tipp are anxiously awaiting the results of a scan to ascertain the extent of the damage.

Reigning Young Hurler of the Year Cathal Barrett is also a big doubt for the Gaelic Grounds showdown after injuring his shoulder during April’s training camp in Spain, while the Thurles Sarsfields duo of Lar Corbett and Michael Cahill may not be fully fit either.

Questions raised about serious mis-management of player fitness.

These issues are very amateur-esque. You cannot rush fitness and not expect players to get injured.

Injuries have been the story of the year so far - Cork, Limerick, Tipp, Clare, Galway and to a lesser degree Waterford have all had a number of injuries - Are players over doing it? Or are lads not doing the gym part properly and then suffering when it comes to playing time- be interested to hear @caoimhaoin’s thoughts… While injuries can just happen in a lot of instances there is a weakness somewhere that leads to them, whether that’s from ignoring certain areas or over training others I don’t know…

Yes.

However, the players should be following a plan created for them. Followed properly this will reduce risk of injury, followed incorrectly will cause problems.
