In fairness, this is a very weak Tipp team. The fact they got to a league final says a lot about the current state of hurling in the country.
Limerick will be confident of progressing to a Munster final.
In fairness to you CM, this is one of your better ones
“Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; Or close the wall up with our Limerick dead! In peace there’s nothing so becomes a man as modest stillness and humility: But when the blast of war blows in our ears, Then imitate the action of the tiger.”
Heading up to this today, hopefully we can batter those Tipp cunts. There are no words to describe my hatred of those bastards, living near the border of those cunts those that to you.
What a day. It reminds of the day v Clare in 96.
Big fry eaten, lift in and out arranged, hope to be cracking open my first pint bottle at 13:30. Bring it on.
Best of luck to Tipp supporters Mullach Ide, Declan Moffat & mick jones today. I am firmly behind Tipp today and am eagerly awaiting a Tipp v Clare Munster final.
Just arrived into Limerick from Westport. I had a stag there last night and many times during the week i questioned myself on why would i drive down to the match when I felt the annual limerick Munster championship first day loss was inevitable. Returning back to Dublin would have made much more sense in many ways.
All week I’ve been keeping my expectations to a minimum. However, that championship feeling hit in the last 48 hours and I know that sense of hope and anticipation is burning quietly inside me. Ended up taking it fairly handy on the beer last night as I knew deep down that I was never going to miss this game. Having been brought to Limerick games as a child for as long as i can remember, there is always something very very special about the buzz the first championship match of the year gives you. It was not my usual pre-match build up for me but I was up at 8.30 this morning feeling fresh and took a nice long walk all around Westport town. Back for the B&B’s award winning breakfast at 10, quick read of the paper and was on the road for a lovely drive down before 11.
Sitting in the parents house now not too far away from the Gaelic grounds. Just like all those other years i can’t fucking wait for the anthem and throw in
