You’d Liverpool and spurs in the final last year. Between them it’s the bones of sixty years before they last one a domestic title. Champions league is pitiful nowadays.

00-09 was the glory days of the champions league. You’d great Milan teams, Barcelona teams, man untied teams. It’s was a proper competition back then.

Italian football was good at the time. The game has moved on and left them behind. Milan couldn’t beat a terrible Liverpool team in 05, Porto won in 04. Bayern, Real and Barca won CL’s with teams that wouldn’t lace the boots of their 2010’s teams
The game was on an even keel back then. Now it’s super clubs stripping all the other teams. Back then it was a proper competition where there was great competitiveness throughout.
So it’s competitiveness you’re bemoaning now and not overall quality which your original point was?
