Why didnt he make the last one when he was 3 years younger and they picked 45 players? He is a one trick pony (kicking) who is as weak as piss. He looks good playing for a shite scotland team but he couldnt hardly make the Glouscter team and he caked the pants the one day he was badly needed for Glaws.
If they pick this fucking joker they are at nathin.
Id imagine you are thinking the Mcgeechan factor might get him in?
The Geech factor for oneā¦also he gives a bit of versatility as he can play on both wings, full back and could do a job as a makeshift fly half and can kick goalsā¦When you look at the potential options for the wings there isnāt that much talent and I reckon he will be taken for the midweek teamā¦If the likes of sackey and moyne make it then it is a jokeā¦Paterson has an even better chance of the likes of Lamont and Strettle stay out injured
the only possible justification you could make for bringing him is if you wanted to play Cipriani and carry another goal kicker elsewhere. There are plenty versatile players e.g. Kearney cover all back three far better than Patterson, Bowe cover centre/wing.
Sackey and Moyne probably not good enough either but as out and out wingers they are streets ahead of CP.
If he were picked he would be targetted non stop, every team he plays against targets him nearly not to mind SA.

Yeah but I aināt on about the test team dan, he would be a midweek man at bestā¦sure time will tellā¦Have the feeling that South Africa could well make a show of themā¦The lions test team will probably end up containing a few lads who just arenāt up to test match rugby
Well some of the better players need to find form and keep it i.e O Gara, Cipriani, Ryan Jones, Martin Williams, Paul O Connell, Dwayne Peel, Andrew Sheridanā¦But in certain areas we are poor enoughā¦The likes of front row, centres and wings are average at bestā¦Compared to the likes of the 1997 and 2001 squads
Referring back to the article, although some of the choices by the writer were a bit off the wall, I like the way that Ireland are top on a fair few of the positions. Though Iād be amazed if England donāt get the biggest amount of players on the team, followed by Wales, Ireland and Scotland. This is what usually happensā¦
Ireland will do well to get 8 or 9 lads on the 35 man panelā¦With Geech, Edwards, Howley and Gatland expect a good number of Wasps and Wales ladsā¦I would see it as maybe 12 welsh, 4 scots, 9 Irish and 10 Englishā¦
7 of the munster pack certainly will not start as the article suggestsā¦ of the starting team above, Quinlan, Horgan and Bowe will do well to make the panel.
Huge miss there Puke. If the team were picked in the morning Hayes would def be at least on the bench, I think he would start. Playing great stuff.
Not sure about Shane Geraghty. Hook maybe. Mike Phillips/TOL scrum halfs, spoilt for choice there really. Care is definetely one to watch.
Only ones Id be sure of from your team is Byrne, Williams, Wallace (in some position), Ryan Jones, O Connell
Hayes is playing great stuff but I donāt think that Geech will fancy him as a test match playerā¦Shane Geraghty is the form 12 in the premiership at the moment, he is playing some unbelieveable stuff for London Irish, although Johnson doesnāt seem to fancy him for Englandā¦
Ferris doesnāt even make your 22? Flannery still has a lot to prove to me and I wouldnāt start him for Ireland if we had a match tomorrow nevermind the Lions. Other than that wouldnāt have many complaints about your team. Was very impressed with Blair last night and he is a bit ahead of the other scrum halves Iād say.
