The Lions would have a chance if they selected either Wyn-Jones or even OâCallaghan to partner Shaw. As it stands, they have little chance unless the legendary Brian OâDriscoll can produce something spectacular yet again.
Will the SAâs beat the 9 point spread on this?
Best of luck to the Leinster lads and South Africa today.
The Empire to win 19-15. Good start here anyway.
This is fooking great stuff. BOD standing up to that second row giant. Schalk Burger already in the bin for a gouge on Ledge.
This is not going well at all MBB is it?
Kearneyâs had an awesome opening ten minutes.
Britains like larry duff will be delighted with this start. Adam Jones was magnificent in that defensive scrum.
The great man hasnât actually been all that great so far. But that penalty he just won on the ground was typically marvellous OâDriscoll defence. Kearneyâs having a complete stormer.
An incredibly impressive half of rugby from the Lions.
Scrum on top, Lineout parity, Kearney catching everything, nobody underperforming. Can they do it for another 40 minutes?
All the Irish lads are doing well. Driscoll and the back 3 all look world class.
Christ that was some half of rugby football from Rob Kearney. Absolutely flawless.
Donât think the scoreline is reflective of the dominance that the Lions have had but wouldnât be overly worried about that. Itâs far from won obviously but thereâs little that needs to be changed or improved upon. One or two bad decisions from Phillips I felt but he has done very well in general.
Sky were half blaming Wallace for Pietersenâs try - it was obviously Fitzgerald who was at fault. Thought he started shakily but heâs come on to a bit, helped by one sublime OâDriscoll pass.
OâDriscoll the obvious weak link so far, get him off and theyâll wrap it up within minutesâŚ

That was some pass by OâDriscoll, started off the move which led to Jonesâ drop goal. Jonesâ performance has been on a different planet from last week.
Itâs like a Welsh prop holocaust out there.
When does OâConnell start playing anyone know?
Shit, we needed that penalty to get the lead back to under 7.
Ruan Pienaarâs kicking has been Henry Honiball-esque.
Sickening to see Britain resorting to uncontested scrums after the savaging they took last week. Did anyone see the physio squirting tomato ketchup on Gethin Jenkinsâ face and passing it off as blood? You wouldnât even see Harlequins doing stuff like that. Ah, for fook sake Pienaar.
Ha, Montgomery-esque even.
Was it Chef or Heinz? Heinz presumably considering the connections between their former CEO and the Empire and its rugby team.
