but of course
mind you, yermans name is emlyn
Thereâs always the Beatles tour !
Best off buying tickets for the Beatles tour in advance to save disappointment on the day. Nothing worse than dealing with touts for the Beatles tour when youâve already been priced out of a Liverpool game.
all depends on what game youâre going to Fran
but having said that itâs still possible to get tickets for the big ones
I do the rail & sail job (hate flying) takes about 4 hours and no pissing about in the airport
haveânt used an agent, done it al off my own bat, one the lads from home sorts me out with tickets
Cheers Art. Had a terrible experience with the rail & sail before on a stag to the Grand National and wouldnât be too keen taking that route again. (boats cancelled & re-routed, 3 or 4 trains to get to Liverpool etc.) When it works out well itâs fine but it can also be a pain in the hole.
I wouldnât really be too picky about the game. Just trying to get away for a weekend with the brother who has been nailed down with 3 kids for quite some time.
I hate doing these things through agents because you know someone is making an easy buck for doing fuck all

if you can getthe ulysses, it can take a lot heavier seas than the swift or the HSS, just make sure you get your times correlated with the holyhead train (i.e the virgin train) for the love of all thatâs holy donât arrive for the arriva wales train it takes longer and is slower than the rosslare train
is there not a LFC membership card you can buy & share between all the LFC fans on here if you are going over - i think that gets you the right to buy tickets & its cheap enough
I thought you were from Courtown
If you subscribe to the e-season ticket thing (about 50 a year) on lfc.tv you have the option of buying tickets on the website. Iâd be happy to facilitate the lads around here but I donât think the demand is here + I wouldnât have too much use for the e-season thing.
didnât want to mention courtown, i know how much even the mention of it drives you cracked
True, but thereâs always Liverpools second team if that doesnât work out. Tranmere are playing some tidy football this year
Disappointed to see than none of the liverpool fans on here havenât mentioned anything about their win at the weekendâŚI didnât get to see any of it, was it a half decent gameâŚ
Meant to post on it Puke but it was Monday evening before I had internet access again and would you believe â it slipped my mind.
Tremendous win. A win which makes a statement of intent if ever there was one. Chelsea undefeated there in 86 league games and Liverpool go there and turn them over relatively easily and without our best player.
Alonsoâs form has been the key difference this season. He is playing like he has a point to prove and is playing superbly. Riera has been a very good signing as well. Adds much needed balance to the team. I would still worry at full back (particularly right back). I also believe that Babel is much more comfortable playing through the middle as a striker and looks more dangerous.
Gerrard was excellent as well on Sunday. Appears much more disciplined in his game than before. Carragher was superb as well, his block on Deco towards the end was nothing short of majestic.
Chelsea were poor. Unlike Liverpool they missed their big players, particularly Ballack and Drogba. Anelka is such a bloody enigma itâs untrue. Superb on his day and other times he just doesnât look bothered. Malouda and Kalou are sub standard players. But once they get those two back along with Joe Cole (most underrated English player around â if such a thing can exist) and Essien and they will come again. Make no mistake.
All in all delighted with the win. It was a huge result but follow it up now against Portsmouth tomorrow night.
I will hold out until later on during the season to make the call on whether we can win it or not.
things are looking promising for LFC - as long as there arent too many Stoke like performances this seems to be their best chance in years
I spoke to 3 Manchester United supporters over the weekend who were delighted Chelsea got beaten. I followed up by asking them about Liverpool and were they not concerned about them edging ahead and they all burst out laughing and were incredulous that I even implied Liverpool might mount a title challenge.
In fairness based on the last few seasons you canât really blame them for having that view.
They are still utter scum though - whoever they are.
My question to one of the lads was would you prefer a Liverpool win or a draw. I couldnât decide and neither could he. Iâm still not convinced by Liverpool. And United have a seriously easy 2nd half of the season. Liverpool need a bigger lead than they have. All their comebacks this season have been impressive but I just donât see them being consistent enough to be there come April. They are conceding goals that they shouldnât(e.g. Zakiâs first goal). They have got away with it a couple of times but if they continue in that manner they will pay, possibly starting with Defoe and their own former giant who must have a point to prove.
A load of hot air there really.
Liverpool beat United and Chelsea this season. They came back from 2-1 down to beat Man City in Eastlands. They came back from 2-1 down to beat Wigan when playing rubbish.
These are the key points - not if Daniel Agger has a lapse in concentration for a second.
Beating Man Utd at home and Chelsea away given their record is not the sign of a team who are âgetting away with itâ.
EDIT - Also how can a team have a âseriouslyâ easier second half to the season than another? Both play the same teams.
