The King deserved another season. Of that there is no doubt. However it was obvious the owners had decided there would be a new manager from quite a while back so I have had time to come to terms with this decision. Doesn’t make it any less difficult to take though.
Kenny Dalglish will always be King of the Kop. 
Rafa, Villas Boas and Clarke are the three most likely candidates in my view. Martinez is a no-no for me. We already appointed one mid-table manager in Hodgson. We don’t wan’t a lower half of the table manager now.

Ian Holloway’s Blackpool have consistently finished in the top half of the table apart from that one year they were in the premiership.
Martinez, Benitez, Riijkaard, Rodgers, and AVB are the betting favourites in that order. Pardew, Redknapp, Capello, and O’Neil are next.

Roberto Martinez has done little to indicate he is much better than being the Dave Bassett of his day. We should really be aiming a bit higher than that.

He gets a lot of praise for pulling Wigan clear of relegation but it needs to be remembered that he put them there in the first place.
Surprised not to see Lambert on the list.
Lambert in fairness is a cut above Rogers and Martinez. Two promotions in a row and finished higher this season than either of the aforementioned. A tremendous player too with a Champions’ League medal to prove it.
It doesn’t matter who Liverpool appoint, they are fucked for years thanks to the obscene amount of money that senile old fool spunked on the likes of Henderson, Downing, Adam, Carroll etc
They are a mid-table team. And the sooner their deluded fans who still live in the 80s get that into their head the better.
