Also Ferguson wouldn’t sell to Liverpool. Remember the whole Gabriel Heinze potential transfer - we dodged a bullet on that one. Mind you, we haven’t been blessed with left backs since then.

By the way, I would have no problem with us buying O’Shea, and I am surprised at United selling him given his versatility and the fact he is a pretty decent player.
