Andy Carroll got back from Ibiza yesterday - as I did - and trained at Melwood today - as I didn’t. The arrest rumour is b******s.

Redknapp is a dick for putting that up. Not just the fact he wasn’t arrested but also rushing to be disappointed in him even before he was charged with anything.
I used to like Redknapp as a footballer but now he just strikes me as a snake like his auld man.
It’s not off the grass he licked it.
Jamie is a top man.
Anyone know if that is a verified account? Seems to be, but sometimes you just dont know.
Daily Mail reporting that Aston Villa have told Stuart Downing he can leave if Liverpool cough up 19 million.
That is a ridiculous amount of money for an extremely average player. Hopefully Liverpool see that as well and look elsewhere.
liverpool to play bray in bray on 18th july. Will probably be a reserve team with one or 2 first teamers thrown in.
Rumour of mereiles to juve for 14m
Sammy Lee seems to be gone.
Can’t say I’m disappointed - I never liked him for some reason.
Looks like Sunderland are going to get Wickham. I am disappointed about that. Looks like 8 million and add ons and on the limited viewing I have seen of him, he looks like a real player. I would much rather spend that on an up and coming 18 year old than 16 million odd on a 26 year old average winger.
I believe you do know the reason. Was it not because he seemed like he wanted to be pals with the players or some other such nonsense?
Actually thought Liverpool would get Wickham. Can’t see Sunderland going anywhere under Bruce. Maybe down.

Farmer told me that Sammy Lee reminded him of your typical 50-year old odd former GAA star that still thinks he’s hip and in with the younger still playing crowd and gets involved in the banter with them at the pub and at training.
Can’t see how Wickham would be perceived as an opportunity lost.
Elaborate on the Wickham point please, Bandage.
Young English players are invariably shit. Don’t get sucked in by the hype. I told you this when watching the European U21 championships and would you listen? No. Yer man’s played for a season and a half at Ipswich but you can buy proven international class for less or a bit more. I think I’ve seen him play twice so possibly not best positioned to comment but, equally, I doubt you and Farmer have seen much more of him. He’s a ‘maybe will become good’ when Liverpool need ‘already good’ to bridge the gap back to the top. I suppose the Carroll fee will be quoted back at me but using that as a valid reason for continuing to pay way above the odds for unproven players like Henderson seems strange to me. Wickham would have fallen into that category too had they pursued it.
Hmm, I disagree on the what Liverpool need point. I think they need to invest in youth - they’ve no chance of buying instant success. I’d also question what proven international forwards are available for in and around 8m (I know it may rise to 12m or 13m but if it does it probably means he has been a success). Like you said, I haven’t seen a lot of him but I think at 8m he was probably worth a punt. The Henderson one seems strange to everyone I think.
Henry was saying that Liverpool need to invest in youth only yesterday. The text book ‘need to think long term instead of short term’ was thrown out. I like that philosophy.
The thing is though youth shouldn’t be bought for extorianate prices just for the sake of it, and I would question the over reliance placed on English young players. However I think it is a very sweeping statement to say that ‘young English players are invariably shit’.
Wickham at 8 million isn’t exactly breaking the bank either.
Welcome back Alberto. If Kenny can get him playing, then he could be excellent for us.
Alberto Aquilani insists he has no problem returning to Liverpool following his season-long loan at Juventus.
The Italy international is due to return to Merseyside for pre-season training after a permanent move to Juventus fell through.
Aquilani impressed at Juve during his loan, but the Italian giants refused to pay the asking price to keep the midfielder in Turin.
The 26-year-old has previously admitted he would have preferred to have stayed in Italy, but he insists he is looking forward to returning to Liverpool.
“I return to Liverpool with great enthusiasm,” Aquilani told Sky Italia."This is not a problem.
“It’s not true that I didn’t want to return to England.”
Too many midfielders in the squad at this stage.
Hopefully Roma will conclude a cut-price deal and bring the young prince home.
true, but hopefully we can shed a few before the start of the season.
We badly need a left winger and defenders
Damiano Tomassi could fit the bill there.
But wasn’t Kenny hanging around like that for the last few years? In fairness to Sammy he has medals that the current Liverpool squad can only dream of.
