Liverpool 2018/2019

He’s not a patch on Declan Hannon chief

Are those five lads you mentioned all playing in the Mickey Mouse Italian league? You need to playing at a proper standard to be classified as world class.

You don’t even watch football. What would you know?

You allow emotion to cloud your judgement all the time. Italian club and international soccer is very weak, yet you are constantly bigging it up as the market leader. You should try to be more objective in your analysis and stop letting your heart rule your head.

What would you know about it? You are a cricket man.

Lolzers

Boycott batting superbly here. Spin bowler Smithers already dismissed.

Apologies for juxtapositioned jargon. Cicero coming to get creased now.

He’s a prick. Will be no loss.

He had to go to England to learn how to play properly. He wasn’t going to learn much from the Scotch.

Your man koulibaly is desperate to get out of Italy and move to England.

Is Virgil the first to take the double feeder club route?

Celtic to Southampton
Southampton to Liverpool

Bring it on. Hopefully Manchester United pay £150m for him. Mo Salah did him up like a kipper.

Koulibaly had him and Mane in his pocket in Naples.

Correct. Salah was adjusting to the lone striker role when they played earlier on in the year in Naples — But he destroyed him at Anfield.

Koulibaly destroyed Salah and Mbappe this year. Van Dijk was badly exposed by some lump of wood against Red Star. It was like he was up against Michael Higdon all over again.

Big Virgil is in pole position for Premier League Player of The Year.

I expect him to win both the FWA and PFA awards comfortably come the end of the season.

He is by a distance the world’s best centre-back at the moment.

Some man for a volleyed finish too. The best since Mark Hughes.

You’d have to wonder about anybody who doubts he’s up there with the very best

Has it all. A proper baller.

Already Liverpool’s best since Hansen. Probably better, even

Liverpool have not been well served for centre backs since Hansen and Lawrenson to say the least. The Hyypia-Henchoz and later Hyypia-Carragher combinations were by a distance the best we’ve had, but much as Carra was a beloved warhorse who lived the club, he wasn’t near the player that Big Virgil is.

The sense of ice cool calm he exudes is ridiculous. I feel a sense of supreme serenity right now just thinking about it.

Since he joined, no player has played more minutes for Liverpool. No player has completed more passes, made more clearances, won more headers, or made more interceptions. Opponents cannot go through him, under him, over him or around him. They must simply hope for the best, because in his current form, there might be no better defender in the world
