No room for error now for Liverpool. They can only get to 69 points (which Leicester are already on) by winning their last 8 games and have to make up a goal difference of 19 in those 8 games. Leicester losing all 6 of their remaining matches will make inroads into that goal difference.

There’s a goal difference swing of at least 14 built into those calculations, as Liverpool have 8 games left and Leicester have 6. If 6 of the 14 remaining games involving Leicester or Liverpool are decided by a margin of more than one goal, the title is ours.

With Leicester City winning at Sunderland, the dream has died for Liverpool FC for 2015/16.
