Liverpool FC 2021/22

In fairness to Arsenal, they’ve done some serious hooking and blocking out there.

In saying that, a team like Man City would have broken them down three or four times already. Liverpool just running into them.

Taki….

Alan Smith is a super co-commentator and very fair minded.

Mina lad needs to score there

Ffs

The Kop will suck one in

Tackie taking a point there :see_no_evil:

Where was this for 60 minutes

Curtis Jones brought a bit of spark but poor performance overall. Sets it up lovely for next week. We go again.

Bobby, TAA , Fab, Hendo all looked way off. Good session over all.

Be a real cup feel to the return leg with everything on the line. No away goals unfortunately but I’d still rather our attacking options of Jota and Firmino over Arsenal’s.

Big Divock a massive loss. He loves this competition.

Odegaard and Smith Rowe were missing for them. Took a lot of creativity away from the gaps between midfield and defense

Auba too but who knows what will happen with him now. Is he out in AFCON with Gabon now or did he retire early from international duty?

Great run out tonight, squad has been all over the place in the last month and will continue to be for another while due to AFCON. Good to get some game time into the legs of the lads returning from Covid.

Curtis Lad looked lively when he came one. Maybe it’s time for an extended spell in the team for him. Rumour has it they’ve been working hard behind the scenes to improve his Klopp index coefficient.

An early goal at Highbury in the second leg will make for a cracker

Rumours surfacing Liverpool had a hard training session this morning in Stanley Park.

When is Harvey lad expected back ?

He’s slowly getting back. Klopp should have played a few more fringe players really. VVD didn’t need to be out there… Robbo neither, he’s fine. Jota should have been rested too.

I was very surprised to see VVD and Robertson playing at the weekend against Shrewsbury. We need to trust the Klopp developmental index though. There’s logic behind it.

Curtis lad the best player on the pitch tonight and he only saw 30 minutes. He’s a fine fine player. Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Bobby very poor but it was a broken couple of weeks to be fair. Jota and Taki couldn’t get on enough ball really, Taki should have stuck it away late but we didn’t deserve a win at all. Matip was very good all round. We just hit a wall any time we got into the final third, there wasn’t anyone remotely like Salah and Mane to beat their man on the perimeter
