Liverpool Football Club 2017/18

The Liverpool bench wouldn’t inspire much confidence in you… is Can injured? Is Lallana in the CL squad? Danny Ings to the rescue.

The feed George Hamilton is watching is ahead of ours, that or he can predict the future.

Gordon Henderson is a liability.

As Liam Gallagher once said, this is history, this is history.

This is Anfield, Manchester City.

And you ain’t got no history.

Commentator’s eye. Robertson is the best left back in the world.

Be still my beating heart

Liverpool are tearing Manchester City’s no full backs policy to shreds. We’ve owned both flanks.

Pep Guardiola’s away record in knockout champions league games must be pretty shit. His all conquering Barca barely won an away game in the knockout stages.

Minutes 10-40 Liverpool utterly blitzed Manchester City. But the nature of that type of game is it’s not sustainable for the whole match. They’ve come into it since the 40 minute mark. Good to get to half-time without conceding but I expect this to be like the January league match and them to control the tempo in the last half an hour or so. Will be a lot of nervous moments yet. I’d bite your hand off for 3-0 right now.

Anfield on a European night is a special, special place.

Be delighted with 3-0 result now.
Worry that we tire in second half.

Otamendi was part of an Argentina defence that conceded six goals in Spain last week - he actually scored Argentina’s only goal.

But any player’s confidence would have taken a bit of a tanking after that and he’s playing like it did - on a yellow as well now.

Liverpool need to keep targetting him - he could get himself sent off, he’s a bit of a bruiser. The double act of Mane on Robertson on the left are rampant.

His record in the Champions League outside of his time with the best player in the world has been poor and even then they got knocked out twice by much worse teams

Van Dike has been very complacent so far this half

Liverpool look knackered at the moment.

That was Alan Hansen-esque from Lovren.

Solanke coming on shows our Mayo-esque squad depth.

Congratulations Everton on a long overdue Derby win this Saturday.

This has been a versatile minibus performance so far in the second half.
