Minutes 10-40 Liverpool utterly blitzed Manchester City. But the nature of that type of game is it’s not sustainable for the whole match. They’ve come into it since the 40 minute mark. Good to get to half-time without conceding but I expect this to be like the January league match and them to control the tempo in the last half an hour or so. Will be a lot of nervous moments yet. I’d bite your hand off for 3-0 right now.

Anfield on a European night is a special, special place.

Otamendi was part of an Argentina defence that conceded six goals in Spain last week - he actually scored Argentina’s only goal.

But any player’s confidence would have taken a bit of a tanking after that and he’s playing like it did - on a yellow as well now.

Liverpool need to keep targetting him - he could get himself sent off, he’s a bit of a bruiser. The double act of Mane on Robertson on the left are rampant.
