I cant quite recall what I was up to in 1991 mate, but it’s possible I caught some of it … it’s even more possible that I have seen / heard about it in more recent times … sure, wasn’t I posting videos up here from that European campaign very recently

I see Liverpool made the Roma squad stand around and pay their respects to the Hillsborough dead yesterday.

There’s some history between these two … in 84 final the Roma fans knifed and attacked scores of Liverpool fans before, during and after the game — lot’s of Liverpool fans were cut up.
Lot’s of commentary that this was also a factor in 85 but I was playing 5 aside that night so cant really comment … cc @Horsebox.
It was a nice touch from DDR and the boys all the same … It’s a shame Roma never won the cup with Totti but if they manage to beat Liverpool i’ll be firmly behind them in the final.

The visited the ground to get a feel of the place, and some auld fella cornered them going on about Hillsborough. Fair play to the Roma players for their good grace.
Some say this impacted on Heysel the following year. The Italian generalisation was made.

This is the equivalent of the Roscommon v Armagh football semi final in 1977 . Will be nice to win but you feel the winner will be a sacrificial lamb in the final .
