Liverpool 2018/2019

It’s mental

What’s he done to justify that price tag?

Michael Edwards would out-Levy Dan Levy

Two years ago, he got 15m and 6m off Bournemouth for Jordon Ibe and Brad Smith respectively

Klopp says he doesn’t see any more signings happening. I still think Fekir could happen.

I read somewhere that the original op on his knee was a botch job. It needs to be redone, would only rule him out for 4 weeks. Only became apparent during the medical and Livepool wanted to renegotiate the payments/timing rather than the fee itself and Lyon pulled the plug.

That seems to be the case alright.

Was reading this morning that Roma named 90m as the price in May. However, Alisson made it clear he wanted to test himself at a bigger club in a bigger league

You’d wonder why a lad would swap a life in Rome for one in Liverpool. I’m sure Roma would have matched Liverpool’s wages.

what Liverpool were offering was outside the roma pay structure. but I’m sure the lads from banda dalla magliana would have rowed in with a few under the table payments to keep him.

Finishing 18 points behind Leicester City in his first season and failing to win a trophy in his first three seasons with one of the biggest clubs in Europe is performing miracles?

The only miracle he has performed at Liverpool is brainwashing the fans and avoiding the sack.

Not a hope

The beauty is in the journey not the destination. Getting to a Champions League Final and losing is much better than winning an FA Cup for example

Rome is a wonderful city, one of the great cities of the world. Liverpool is a shit hole, full of skanks. If you’re talking about soccer though, Liverpool is one of the great football clubs, competing in the best domestic league in the world. Roma is a soccer backwater, competing in a mickey mouse domestic league. A sensible move for career purposes for a lad with ambition.

Only one manager has won the AI in the past 3 years. 4 different managers have won the last 4 EPLs, 3 got the sack after being unable to retain it.

Klopp is some con artist. He hasn’t even been able to offset not winning the domestic title by winning any sort of silverware whatsoever.

just like tyrone in august, you cant respond to points scored

@Cicero_Dandi places an awful lot of store on trying to claim ‘Top 4’ status for Tyrone. Whatever Top 4 status in Gaelic Football is. Odd that he’s so sniffy of Coach Klopp achieving Top 4 status in each of his first two full seasons at Liverpool and the very tangible reward of qualification for the European Cup that goes with top 4 status in the EPL. Prior to that, Liverpool had only finished in the top 4 and qualified for the European Cup in one of the previous seven seasons.

Klopp has led Liverpool from relying on free transfers to breaking world records for goalkeepers and defenders. He did this without relying on a sugar daddy to fund these transfers. Liverpool are making rapid but sustainable progress under the incredible stewardship of Klopp. I think it is safe to say Klopp has Liverpool’s best interests at heart rather than the interests of fly-by-night myopic fans like your good self.

As a matter of interest who would you replace Klopp with?
