Itâs no accident that Liverpool a city and a football club that have been victimised so badly over the years are now prospering with an even playing field and the fairness that VAR provides.

I think we all have implicit biases when it comes to our own team which can sometimes cloud our views and we all have to recognise that
That why itâs good to get an impartial, fair and reasonable assessment from a knowledgable neutral observer such as yourself
Theyâll end up going so far back for every goal that no goal will be allowed
That is a strange take, considering we saw VAR correctly give a goal which previously would have been incorrectly disallowed
Youâre either offside or youâre not. VAR is making the correct calls as per the rules. Anyone moaning about an inch offside being called offside should fuck off.

Liverpoolâs high line is in part based off the fact that VAR would catch offsides.
Anyone claiming that VAR technology has the resolution to determine offside to an accuracy of 1 inch should go back to school and learn some physics. Highly credible calculations have shown that the accuracy is no better than +/-7.5 inches for a player running at pace. The issue isnât where the player is on the frozen frame VAR displays, the issue is the speed the player is travelling when the ball is played, as the video frame speed is 1/50th of a second. A player running at pace would have moved 7.5 inches in that time frame, so thatâs the margin of error.
In laymans language, claiming VAR is accurate to an inch or millimeters is absolute nonsense.
