Christ on a bike. The still photo is not at the time the ball was passed, it has a frame speed of 1/50 of a second so +/- 1/50th of a second resolution. In that time Raheem Sterling for example at full pace has traveled 7.5 inches, so the accuracy is +/- 7.5 inches.

Agreed, pundits have issue when it correctly applies the rules to what officials would have not been in a position previously to adjudicate on when the outcome results in a disallowed goal.
