My abiding memory of Taki will be nervously celebrating the league title with the physios with typical Japanese embarrassment due to his minimal role. Captain Hendo had to drag him into the celebrations.
He will go down as the best Asian player to have played in the Premier League.
A savage profit on a lad bought for €7 million too. His performance in that league cup quarter-final v Leicester was vital to the double success. A thoroughly alright sort to boot. Farewell Taki.
He was a great player for Liverpool. He’ll go down as one of our all time best.
One of the best left wingers in the Premier League era. Couple of solid seasons with Southampton before he arrived at the cathedral of European football.
I fancy Taki to inspire Southampton to Carabao Cup glory next season and Sadio to inspire Bayern Munich to Bundesliga glory.
Taki is going to Monaco. He’ll take down PSG in the league of France.
Taki will do well seeing as he’s signed for Monaco
I fancy him to inspire Monaco to winning the Monaco Grand Prix.
I haven’t stopped crying all day
I’m not crying, you’re crying
Sadio lad will always be welcome back to visit Anfield or the Ratoath Inn (for a mineral)
Sadio was the best of all of us. Very few players can say they won every single major trophy available at a club. All the more impressive considering we’d just finished 8th when he arrived. He was a gamechanger of a signing.
A fantastic footballer and more importantly, to supporters of Liverpool Football Club, a great human.
Another challenge for Jurgen after losing a key player. He’s had to overcome the loss of Coutinho, Gini and now Sadio lad. Loss of central figures that the Manchester clubs and Chelsea just don’t have to deal with.
