Liverpool have had some dire halves of football this season. Think that ranks tops and that’s saying something.
Quality manager makes a big difference. Brentford could slide downhill when they eventually have to replace Thomas Frank. Charlton were once flying it under Alan Curbishly, Swansea under Rodgers and Laudrup. Cheasty wrote a good piece on the “model club” here a few months back.
Interestingly they have no academy. Dispensed with it to save cash.
Ivan Toney is injured so they bring in Wissa and he scores a cracking header. Must be a great atmosphere in the squad.
