Liverpool Football Club 2022/23

Sad to see the Spurs fans disowning the Milk Cup, their only source of silverware in the EPL era despite lavish spending from their offshore benefactors and loans from Her Majesty :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Yanis is well versed.

Players aren’t robots and it can take time to get up and running. Liverpool dropped points in five of the first 11 league matches last year too.

Konate, Tsimikas, Jota, Thiago, Diaz, Nunez and Carvalho have all come in in the last couple of years.

There’s a period of rebuilding ahead alright but hopefully we’ll manage to remain pretty strong throughout it.

I think another midfielder is needed though. Tielemans from Leicester is one that has had a good bit of talk around him over the summer and especially today. Seems to be available for a reasonable enough fee and would jump at the transfer I think.

Unfortunately Leicester haven’t won a Champions League or League Cup during that period though. I’d love to see the likes of a Leicester win it if Liverpool couldn’t. The way I see it we’re in a similar bracket to Spurs and Arsenal financially but just have an extraordinary manager at the minute. I’d rather see anyone win over the elite coterie of the Manchester clubs and Chelsea.

Klopp has underachieved with Liverpool.

Liverpool didn’t win a League Cup final either. They had a 120 minute stalemate with Chelsea in the final.

Liverpool will always have their European Cup Final win over Tottenham in 2019 though.

Liverpool are probably looking at shipping out van Disney too.

It’s often forgotten but he downed tools at Southampton too and that’s a terrible sign of a professional usually.

He clearly isn’t happy at Liverpool and if they keep picking him it could be very messy.

That’s true mate. A few lads on here aren’t well versed in the comings and goings in the latter stages of the European Cup so might have missed that after their own heroes lose to burger flippers from Gibraltar and Istanbul.

This man is performing miracles…

It’s true, I checked it up

Do we hand the cup to Chelsea at December ?

This isn’t the Olympics high jump.

The calamitous defending on Sanchos goal sums up a lot of their players so far this season. Zaha made mugs out of them time and again last week and on another night could have had a hattrick. Arnolds defending on the first goal last night was abysmal. Allowing Elanga get inside him is one thing but not having inclination to try and recover the situation is just brutal defending and just a kiss my arse effort. Van Dijk just looked like a constipated Octopus “trying” to block the shot. I cant believe premierleague defenders or any defenders for that matter would be trained to defend and hold that posture as a shot is coming in. There looked to be a great togetherness and sense of players playing for Klopp last season and ones gone before. That looks like a distant memory now.

Ole big ears isn’t really on the radar of United or Leicester fans.

Since 2017, Manchester United have won fewer trophies than Hashtag United.

Are you forgetting when they got to a quarter final and got so giddy Rio appointed Coach Ole as permanent manager?

I’m sure Leicester beat spurs at some point too.

Ah they’ve been a brilliant team in fairness to them. They need to buy a midfielder now badly though. Van Dijk has not looked the same since that incident with Pickford too. They won nothing before Virgil and he changed the game.

I think the issue with Tielmans is that he hasn’t the running power of a Klopp midfielder. Like, Thiago is a genius and even he has found it tough.
