My point was ten hag had done very little with Ajax when you actually looked at his record. He’d probably done more than yer man though. These things are always a punt but you’re better off hiring someone who had actually achieved something before when bringing them to a massive club like Liverpool. Like Klopp had with Dortmund for eg.

In fairness to Amorim he ended a 19 year wait for a League title at Sporting and is currently well on track to win another one this season. Porto and Benfica are usually top dogs in Portugal so it’s not insignificant. Probably the equivalent of winning a couple of leagues with Feyenoord at the expense of Ajax and PSV. What’s the alternative? Roberto De Zerbi whose managerial high point was finishing 6th with Brighton? Nagelsmann who failed at Bayern?
