Crucial season ahead as far as the long-term direction of the football club is concerned and last season’s progress under the King needs to be followed up.
Brendan Rodgers hasn’t done much to indicate that he’s anything other than the latest flavour of the month, and there’s no doubt we should be aiming higher, but an Irishman would be a natural fit as manager for Ireland’s favourite Barclays Premier League™ club and if he is appointed I’ll be giving him my full support.
Let’s hope the situation is sorted by the end of the week.
A proud Northern Irishman is how Rodgers refers to himself as. His pretty recent underwhelming stints at Watford and Reading seem to have been forgotten about
Pretty sure I heard an interview with Rogers on newstalk a while back where he put them right about him one day managing the ROI. Said he saw himself as Norn Iron and would one day wish to manage them and not the ROI and that his son played with the ROI due to them asking but that he may consider switching to Norn Iron. Prob online somewhere still.
Brendan Rodgers meeting with them now. I wonder will they be able to convince him than Liverpool is a bigger job than managing Welsh club Swansea. This is the same fella who flopped at Watford and Reading.
