Liverpool Football Club Season 2012/13
Of the four contenders for fourth spot, Everton have the worst run-in They still have to go to Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool.

I don’t see them having the strength to get fourth.

After Sunday’s trip to the City of Manchester stadium, we have a very good run-in to the end of the season with no more away games against teams in the top half of the table. The home games with Tottenham, Chelsea and Everton will be key but fourth place is definitely achieveable.

An optimistic but not unreasonably so view would see the rest of our season panning out something like this (home games in bold):

City L

WEST BROM W

SWANSEA W

Wigan D

TOTTENHAM D

Southampton W

Aston Villa W

WEST HAM W

Reading W

CHELSEA D

Newcastle D

EVERTON W

Fulham W

QPR W

That would give us 31 more points for a final total of 66. History shows that isn’t enough for fourth but two or three points in excess of that just might be.
A win here will see us catch up again with my projection after four matches, after losing three points against WBA.

Carragher looks well capable of doing a Caldwell yet.

Lovely. I can head off to Croke Park now safe in the knowledge that the three points are in the bag. If we can get Coutinho, Suarez and Sturridge playing regularly together for the remainder of the season with Lucas anchoring things and Stevie controlling the centre, it could be a very exciting end to the season.

Everton and Liverpool are not in the reckoning for fourth place lad…it’s between Arsneal and spurs…
Big win for the pool today…

Surprised none of the Liverpool fans on here found time to comment on the diabolical accounts figures released today. £40.5 million lost in 10 months, 70 % of income spent on wages, owners FSG have lent in £70 million, it cost £9.5 million to get rid of Kenny Dalglish and his coterie.

Some serious downsizing on it’s way to Anfield.

I’ve been advised to say, ‘no comment’

100mill in debt…

Incorrect.

Fact…

Well 87.2 mill that we know about…

Up to ten months… Not including New warrior deal, culling of wages and new tv money that will kick in next year. Not being in CL is a problem, and will get worse the longer we don’t have it. But the debt is somewhere in the middle of what’s being reported.

good player, but his heart isnt in it

Poor Joe, 90k a week but his heart wasn’t really in it, the cunt.

Joe Cole admits he was wrong to join Liverpool, but is happy again at West Ham United and intends to see out his career at Upton Park.

Cole returned to West Ham for a second spell in January, after two-and-a-half forgettable years at Anfield.

He concedes that he made a mistake in heading for Merseyside as a free agent in 2010, after seeing his contract run down at Chelsea.

Cole says he never adapted to life at Liverpool, but claims he was left with little choice but to make a move as he could not bring himself to turn out for Tottenham Hotspur.

The 31-year-old midfielder said in The Sun: "I can only play for teams that I’m passionate about and I think that’s what went wrong for me at Liverpool.

"I didn’t feel a connection with the club or the place that I had at Chelsea and West Ham.

"I had seven great years at Chelsea but the club wanted to go in a certain direction and I wasn’t involved. So I was left with two real options - Liverpool or Spurs.

"Spurs was probably the best option because they were offering me a five-year deal and it meant I could stay in familiar surroundings.

“But I just couldn’t do it, I just couldn’t see myself pulling that Spurs shirt over my head. With the rivalry between Spurs and West Ham and Chelsea, it felt a bit mercenary.”

What a fucking tosser.

“felt a bit mercenary” so he went up and wasted the oxygen of Merseyside for 90 grand a week in such a foul manner they had to send the cunt to France.

Just as well then that our easy run-in means that Champions League place for next season is all but assured.
