Liverpool v Cardiff City - Carling Cup Final

Nothing new in that, Adams has been shocking all season long. Did I see Downing with the man of the match award or did he just rob it off someone?

Played his best game yet in a Liverpool jersey. Was excellent on the left and equally as good when switched to the right wing. It was between him and Skrtel for MOTM but the defenders poor clearance that resulted in Cardiffs first goal cost him that award.

That was easily Downings best game for Liverpool but whether he deserved man of the match is a different story.

Henderson once again was anonymous. How can they trust Kenny with any future transfers?? His whole ‘premiership proven’ and British policy is baffling when their are players on the continent with far more quality going cheaper. What does comolli do?

I think Comolli has the final say on those transfers. In fairness Henderson is still young and looked good at Sunderland. I’m not convinced we’ll ever see the best of him out on the right wing. He’s not a grafter though, goes around with his head in the clouds alot of the time. Kuyt is still vitally important for that right side either as a starter or a sub.

Henderson and Adam have been shit all season, Downing has been shit but has stepped things up in the last couple of games. Saurez is frustrating at the moment, the amount of ball he wasted yesterday was unreal. Liverpool players still cant cross a ball, I don’t know what they practice in training. =A goal poacher is desperately needed.

Comoli gave an interview yesterday evening stating that the Carling Cup win will encourage top players around Europe to look to Liverpool as a club where they’d like to play.

Top player the likes of Jermain Defoe I suppose. Without champions league it’ll be another summer of signing overpriced average players.

I didn’t realise that winning the Carling Cup is only worth £100k in prize money. Compared to the £1.8million for the FA cup.

Major trophies won so far this season:

Liverpool Football Club 1
The rest of the Barclays Premier League™ 0

You’re wrong there Sid, Man City won the Dublin Super Cup

who was the kid beside Gerrard when he got the cup?

and not Spearing before the smart arses reply

Carragher’s young fella

Carraghers kid.

Carraghers kid

He ripped to cup out of his hand to lift it after Gerrard passed it down to him!
Anyone see the young supporter poking himself in the eye celebrating after!

Mixed quality jokes about Adam’s penalty today on the interweb but I like this:

Probably keeps Dalglish in the job until next season anyway. Not a great result for LFC it could be argued

Incredible pictures:

Bizarre seeing Carragher and Adam winning any sort of footrace.
