Yep. âRewardâ was a GREAT single.
Very fond of this late 70s classic too, off of the Stiff Records label.

Their Kiliminjaro album was superb. One of the very best of the early 80s. Of course Julian Cope went on to be, in my view, one of the greatest British musicians of all time. And so underrated.

Setting Sun (feat Noel Gallagher)
Mersey Paradise would seem like the most appropriate Roses song to throw up for this battle. Cracking song it is too.

Would struggle to choose between Strawberry Fields and Sexy Sadie as my favourite Beatles tracks, so both posted here.
I feel compelled to put up a couple of Smiths songs too. Headmaster Ritual and Suffer Little Children.
Also Atmosphere by Joy Division. Hard to say itâs better than Love Will Tear Us Apart, but it is fucking awesome.
Ah here.
Is it that hard to compile a list of 5 songs in one post, rather than posting up songs in drips and drabs without any sort of reference.

I believe the convention has now been established whereby you set up a thread on music with some arbitrary rules that are roundly ignored.

I donât plan on contributing to this thread as my musical tastes are more in Colonge and Dusseldorf but youâre dead fuckin right here.
Iâve changed my mind. Manchester will walk this.

Ruling on the eligibility of The Verve, please?
Actually I have an Elbow song - think theyâre from Bury or somewhere.

The Verve are Wigan.
Fair enough, Iâll nominate this is lieu of that one
I Am Kloot - To You
Does that mean we can post songs from limerick bands?
Il Bomber Destro - can we just agree on a New Order song to win this without having to go through a tedious voting process?
