Financially not a whole lot. But its ensuring a weekly game on the box, majority of which will still be Friday night. Which makes it far easier to push commercially, for sponsorship, ticket sales etc as opposed to the rte last minute switch that might move you to another day when they were eventually bothered to show a game.
Pundits and commentators being arsed along with proper build up is different world stuff to rte.
