Few rumours floating around - Heart attack is one, apparently he was sick last week but still played … he supposedly went off with a head injury Saturday also.

Really hope that’s not true.

RIP.

he played the full 90 v drogheda

Probably best if people didn’t speculate wildly about the exact cause of this.

Game tomorrow night has been officially called off.

without sounding like graham hunter , i knew mark farren and the impact his death had up there last feburray was massive, this is now pretty unbelievable
In terms of sport DCFC totally encopmpasses the catholic area of the city, bar dundalk it is the only town where all its inhabitants really have an interest in the team and know the players, living in cork limerick dublin we definitely cant relate to it

A proper football town. Practically no GAA in the city.

Unbelievable that a club can suffer three tragedies in such a short period of time. It’s the one year anniversary of the Buncrana Pier tragedy this week too. That Daniels lad lost his mother, sister, brother in law and two nephews.

The sad case of Mark Farran and then your club captain taken in the prime of his life.

Life is proper shit at times.

Some tackle, takes out two cork softcocks here.

Two typical soft Cork cunts rolling around the place like they were in a scene from Platoon.

That’s why Derry City have always been my favourite League of Ireland team. Real passion for football and real pride in their identity, and their historical situation and the hardships they’ve had to overcome makes them unique not just in Ireland but in Europe. They’re the club that came back. And they’ll always keep coming back, no matter what hits them. They really are more than a club.
