Long term punts

Are these markets down now?

Isnā€™t the final in their new stadium? A good bet.

Assume down while games are on

Would suggest the following ew accum but advise placing it before Too Darn Hot and Whoops Jackā€™s prices contract tomorrow

Did you request the price for too darn hot? Canā€™t see it on 365.

Cheers (Iā€™m after requesting a price for it in the greyhound Derby, itā€™ll stand out a mile)

Cork ladies -3 to beat Kilkenny in AI (not long term) @ 11/5 and Aodhan O Riordan to be next labour leader @ 14/1 (very long term).

Oā€™Riordan is a gimp and heā€™s not even a current sitting TD. This position might not come up again for a number of years, and while I agree that none of the other incumbents are particularly impressive, you could however have a new whipper snapper in the party on the scene by then who has recently won a seat in the Dail.

Absolutely. Their list of sitting TDS is not very impressive in terms of leadership candidates.
Howlin and Burton are tainted by being of the old order. Penrose and Ryan would never do it. O Sullivan is also older and less appealing. Sherlock is weak as piss and refused to stand up last time so I donā€™t see why heā€™d be even interested this time. Which leaves Alan Kelly, who is pounding at the door, begging for it.
Lots of the party donā€™t like Alan Kelly, so thereā€™s a good chance heā€™ll have to fight someone for it. AOR fancies himself and has a biggish public profile. Heā€™s also likely to get elected next time imo. The 14s is very very big.

Also, I think the position will come up after an election. I think most Labour people think thereā€™s no point in change at present and people should fight their own constituencies and then see the lie of the land after the next election. But they do know that Howlin is making very little impression with the public.
All this is obviously just my opinion and Iā€™ve beenn burned on this bet before.

Best of luck with it you make fair points in one way, but based on the points i mentioned i think it will fall down. But itā€™s 14/1 and there are worse 14/1 shots than this. Youā€™d also know more than me about it being based up there in Oā€™Riordans constituency (I think) and being a staunch Labour man.

I think heā€™ll get in at the next election. He wasnā€™t far off at all last time and LAbour were toxic. For all the mouthy bollox that he is, heā€™s all over the constituency regularly.
If he gets in and there hasnt been a change of leadership, heā€™ll be one of the favourites.

He canvassed for him so is slightly biased

Like @Mac and the nurses

Mary Lou will be labours leader within 5 years
